I’m Em (Emily), owner of em.ly studio.
I’m a Creative/Art Director & Snr. Graphic Designer based in Sydney, Australia.

In 2018, after a decade long love affair with corporate publishing, I decided it was time to step out on my own and fulfil my long-time goal of running my own business. I launched em.ly studio, a full service boutique studio specialising in creative project management and end-to-end creative services.

em.ly studio offers everything from large scale campaign activations to small business re-designs. Hefty projects with lots of creative components are a favourite, but every job is designed and curated with as much love as the last. em.ly studio‘s philosophy is to clarify, simplify and beautify (and to be a little OCD with the details!). 

I’ve been very lucky to work with some amazing brands including (but not limited to) Qantas, David Jones, The Iconic, Kikki.K, Collective Hub, Jamie Oliver, Camilla, Tommy Hilfiger, Target, ING Bank, Westpac Bank, Maybelline, Officeworks and Big W. And in the magazine world, I’ve been Creative Director for Collective Hub and Art Director for Homes+. Plus a graphic designer/art director in the advertising space for Real Living, House & Garden, Belle, Harpers Bazaar, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Dolly, Cleo, Gourmet Traveller, The Australian Women’s Weekly, Woman’s Day, Jones by David Jones, Qantas The Australian Way, Qantas Link Spirit, Bunnings and Jetstar. Whew!

Aside from living the dream at em.ly studio, I am available for remote freelance or short term/part-time contractual arrangements – I’m also open to being on-site for the right opportunities (Sydney CBD, south and surrounds).
